AR Memorial

The USC Keck School of Medicine and the School of Cinematic Arts, partnering with LA General Medical Center’s Women’s Clinic and USC Arts in Action, present the VR Memorial Series honoring gynecologic cancer patients. Virginia, one of the patients, shared her life journey through therapeutic interviews, recounting cherished family memories. We transformed a heartfelt letter she wrote to her loved ones into an AR Memorial illustration book, narrated through a bear family’s story and brought to life with AR animation, creating a commemorative keepsake for her family. This project blends empathetic design, media arts, and immersive technologies to preserve love.
